last the whole world sees. And he understands. That the Arab world is not permeated the monolith of backwardness, fundamentalism, ignorance, women heads down and dangerous bombs addressed to the West, for years would have had us believe. They try again, with their anachronistic propaganda: people to the streets of Benghazi is defined with carefully selected words from the TG1. Words like "insurgent", "criminal" and "fundamentalist" are associated in their negative sense. As always the words Arab, Muslim, Islam is inextricably linked to the word "terrorism."
People normal to the streets in these countries, teaches a very different lesson. Showed that the Arab world is a fact highly varied, with the some of bearded arrears, but also appeals lay to the universal values \u200b\u200bof freedom and justice. E'dalla will and the strength of the local people whereas it was the beginning of a process that will hopefully lead to a true democracy, not thanks to foreign military interventions (what happened to Iraq and Afghanistan ?).
And yet, Muslims and Christians united in prayer in Cairo, young bloggers with fresh ideas and un'entusiamo unstoppable (some I knew them too, as the couple formed by Manal and Alaa, who despite his young age proved among the most authoritative voices of the revolt), women in jeans and a headscarf, disobedience and civic involvement (no, the two concepts are not in opposition but complement each other perfectly), rappers, writers, businessmen, housewives. In short, please realize this. North Africa does not mean bogey. Not too easy to fall into the simplification, which for centuries brings nothing but trouble between the two shores of the Mediterranean, to believe that everything that is Arab is harmful and highly dangerous. So I hope that the other side of the mare nostrum you stop with the archaic concept that what is outside the "house of Islam" (Dar al Islam) and "House of War" (Dar al Harb) . Those people seemed united in square exemplify just that. The desire for harmony and tranquility. And enjoy working with people we love the fruits of their labor.
Then there is the power, but to hedge the masses to believe anything. I do that in the Arab world have always been treated with respect, that I learned so much from these places, I feel the affection of friends who live there I can not accept the dichotomy that separates us (the good) from them (the bad guys, also called "Axis of Evil"). And vice versa for what happens on the other side of the sea (how many times I heard the imams rant against America during Friday prayers!). Of good and bad, to return to the simplistic terms so overused lately, there are everywhere. And everywhere there are the smart ones are ready to take advantage of it.
