AND THE EDUCATIONAL EFFORT IS YET TO FIND WORK

enrollments and graduates are working alarm black
All students may lose: -5% last year, -9.2 4% in the past. Going against the private universities
LONDON - Fewer and fewer graduate enrollments. It is very comforting to the Italian public university photo taken from two separate reports, one carried out by Cun (National University Council) and the other developed by the consortium Almalaurea, both presented Monday at the headquarters of Crui. From the first show that all may lose the inscriptions (-5% in the last year, -9.2% in the last four), though keep best scientific and South and Central Italy are suffering more than the North. The case of Cun also explains that in 2010 chose to continue their studies at university graduates, only six out of ten (62%, compared to 66% in 2009 and 65% in 2008 and 68% in 2007). Going against the private universities: a +2% of newcomers in 2010 takes them from 6.1% to 6.6% of total registrations in Italy in the last four years.
BACK SMALL UNIVERSITIES - are small colleges (those with ten thousand subscribers) to withdraw more: the enrollment down from 2009 to 2010 3.2% to 2.9%. Even the average universities (among the ten thousand and twenty thousand) increased from 15.5% in 2009 to 15.3% in 2010. They keep better mega universities (those with more than forty thousand subscribers) with 42.6% of registrations in 2010 against 42.4% in 2009.
EMPLOYMENT - As for employment, then it must be said that in Italy the graduates are still few, but not be scarce in the labor market. The data emerging from the thirteenth report Almalaurea. The degree is real, continues to "pay" as the graduates have an employment rate of over 11 percentage points higher than the graduates and that the pay awards above qualifications. There is no doubt, however, that even if a little 'less than last year, graduates are still struggling to find work after you put in your pocket the title of the study. Considering the graduates of 2009 shows that unemployment is rising, albeit to a lesser extent last year, including three years: 15 to 16% (previous year the increase was about 4 percentage points). Unemployment among graduates is also increasing every two years, those with a longer course of study: 16 to 18% (the previous survey had shown a growth of over 5 percentage points). But even among the pure salt specialist single-cycle: 14 to 16.5%. Expanding the time span (2005-2010) the proportion of pre-reform graduates in employment at five years has undergone decreased by almost 6 percentage points.
BLACK WORK - concern is also another phenomenon, the "black economy" among the graduates. Those working without a contract, a year after graduation to study, among the specialized two-year double to 7% for first level graduates, the "no contract" spend 3.8 to 6%, the cycle specialist single (or a degree in medicine, architecture, veterinary medicine, law), that record has always been a higher value from 8 to almost 11%. The survey shows that a year from graduation, decreases the steady job in excess of the contraction in the previous year for graduates of all levels. At the same time expands the size of atypical work. The stability concerns ... so 46% of employed graduates of the first level and 35% of graduates (with a reduction in both cases, by 3 percentage points as compared to the 2009). Editorial
